Relaunching Indoor Services
NFC’s COVID-19 Task Force has decided to move forward with weekly, indoor worship services. We are excited to take this next step in relaunching worship services in-person. However, we also acknowledge that worship services will not immediately return back to pre-covid “normal.” Here are a few guidelines to help you know what to expect at a Sunday morning worship service.
- As we seek to love and respect one another well, we ask you to remain masked for the duration of the worship service (except children under 2, or for medical necessity). We’ll have face masks and sanitizer available for you if needed.
- Our seating will be arranged so that guests have an empty row in front of, and behind them to promote social distance during the service. Please respect these preferences, and only sit in designated areas.
- A children’s program will be offered for toddlers through 6th grade. If you would like your child to participate in the KIDS class, please arrive early, and register your child in the courtyard before the service begins. To limit movement in the sanctuary during the worship service, we will not be dismissing children during the service for the KIDS program. All children attending the program should be checked in before the service begins.
Moving Ahead Together
Our church leadership will continue to evaluate, and make adjustments to our indoor services as needed. We are figuring it out along with you.
For some of us, following Covid-19 safety guidelines will be frustrating or limiting. For other church members, meeting indoors even with all of the precautions, will feel uncomfortable and moving too fast. We see you on both sides, as well as those somewhere in the middle. We’ll continue to offer ways to connect and worship in various ways. All of our in-person services will continue to be live-streamed for those who wish to worship from home.
This is the first pandemic we’ve experienced as a church and are fully embracing our call to be for each other in the midst of our differences. We’re a Jesus people, seeking to live in community, and practicing the way of reconciliation.
We pray you’ll join us either on campus or online.
